How to: Tea Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
2 cups filtered water
2 cups granulated sugar (or monkfruit sweetener as a sugar free alternative)
1/4 cup of the tea of choice
Our recommendations for tea syrups: Rainy Bookstore, Terrazzo, or Bubblegum Green
Method:
1. Bring water and tea to a boil in a medium saucepan
2. Reduce heat, and add sugar and stir until dissolved
3. Simmer for 5 mins, then remove from heat and allow to steep for 1hr
4. Strain the tea leaves, then transfer to a bottle and store in the fridge for 1 week.
Use in place of flavored syrups for espresso-based drinks, cocktails, or as a base for your own craft sodas!
